As if the fear of catching the coronavirus is not bad enough, jihadists are now seeking to exploit the pandemic by urging militants to hand out poison-covered face masks, according to a report.
A new magazine called “Wolves of Manhattan” – a reference to the 9/11 attacks on the Big Apple – by a pro-Al Qaeda news outlet calls on fanatics to kill “unbelievers,” The Sun reported.
The sick mag instructs “Allah’s soldiers” to spread terror handing out the poisoned masks at street corners and in stations, according to the report.
“Remember to support your religion, retaliate for your brothers in the beloved Palestine, and fulfill the promise of your imam Osama [bin Laden] that the Crusaders will never dream of security unless we have it in reality in Palestine,” the article says.
Followers also are advised to continue using the traditional array of weapons, including bombs, guns and knives, as well as the more primitive rocks and fires, according to The Sun.
The evil author also cites the “Manhattan raids,” another reference to the attack on the city.
The report comes just weeks after The New York Times reported that that Israeli operatives — acting with US authorization — gunned down the No. 2 leader of Al Qaeda during a drive-by shooting in Tehran earlier this year.
The Aug. 7 slaying of Abdullah Ahmed Abdullah — also known as Abu Muhammad al-Masri — came on the 22th anniversary of the deadly 1998 attacks on two American embassies in Africa, which he allegedly helped mastermind.
Also killed in that incident was Abdullah’s daughter, Miriam, the widow of Osama bin Laden’s son, Hamza bin Laden.
